Day 6!

For slightly over three years now, we have had a mini
chocolate easter bunny in my fridge. Sounds kinda weird
but it was my grandmothers. We bought it for her, but she
never got the chance to eat it. No one in my house had it in
them to throw out the bunny because it was hers.
Well last night, probably until like four am, my brother had
his friends over for his birthday. My mom no doubt filled
the fridge up with junk food and yet, someone thought it was
okay to eat my grandma's easter bunny, which was at the bottom
of the fridge. At first I was really upset by this, but then I thought
about it. Someone ate a 3+ year old chocolate bunny, eww! And boy
are they going to be sick.
Anyways I decided to do a display for my grandmother because
of what happened. This is her old sewing box, and a necklace
she had gotten made for me from an earring she had.

I'm trying more visual techniques from the book

Day 5!

Like old times, Dan and I decided to go to Kennedy Park for an
early (6:30 am) walk. Unfortunately we brought our cameras
and spent more time taking pictures than actually walking....

So after Kevin the swan died last year, Dan and I were really
worried if we'd ever see more swans at the park. Well guess what..
We did! We named the two Kevin Jr. and Kevina. They were too
adorable. And I think Mr. Swan knew that because he almost killed
Dan and I for getting too close. Okay not killed, but he wasn't too
happy with us taking pics of his babies. He was one large angry dad!
With his neck fully extended he was practically my height. Which
made us realize, Kevin was most likely a girl and not a boy swan.
(Def made the same mistake as Russel in UP!)

Now, anytime I go to Kennedy park I find something
weird, as an example...this coconut. This is either our 5th
or 6th found coconut, in the last year. I don't quite
understand where they are coming from.

It's as weird as this duck.
Is this not the scariest duck ever? He's as evil as he looks.

Day 4!

I might change this into a 365 of visual displays lol,
since that's all I've been doing.

Day 3!

Even in my visual class, when given the scarves and
pashminas, I had such a tough time displaying them. I'm
most likely going to take another shot at this, try another
scarf. But anyways, this my nautical display for the summer.

Day 2!

So the whole point of me getting a fancy new camera
was so I could practice my photography for Visual.
(Basically taking photos of merchandise displayed as if
they were to be sold in a catalog.) And since I've gotten
the camera I have a taken a total of ZERO display photos.
(up until like an hour ago) I need some practice and supplies,
but here are my first two display photos with my camera.

I just made this bag last week.

Day 1!

The first official day of summer!
The first official day of my new 365 with my new camera!
I know, it's all very exciting ; )

Thank goodness it rained today, my mom's poor garden
wasn't looking too good. You know, there's something about male
fairy statues at my house. They can't seem to keep their
wings intact. This has to be our fifth male fairy that its
wings have fallen off. My mom claims they want to be real
boys. I think they just prefer the idea of being Pan over
a fairy.
