Day 49!

"Do you belong to a song? Does it drag you along by the tongue at the top of your lungs?"

Not as if you can see it in the slightest, but the left screen is playing The Matches' music video "Salty Eyes." Woah what?

Sitting around Freehold mall's food court, eating my delicious subway sandwich I look to the tv screen above, which is giving you the chance to text a number for them to play a specific song, I see the craziest thing.  Amongst the several mainstream video options such as Bieber, Ke$ha and Neon Trees was The Matches. Which I find to be the weirdest thing for several reasons. One: Salty Eyes, an awesome song wasn't one of their biggest singles. Two: The Matches were never mainstream to be up in a mall's food court TV. Three: The Matches broke up over a year ago. Not as if any of this means anything, I texted the number so I could watch it.

PS: I own one of the video tapes from this music video...the one that says "SONG"

Day 48!

A moment to make an actual post! Yes!

I took this picture last week, and it's probably one of the many reasons why I have no time. Because I like to procrastinate at times as well as I have trouble prioritizing. Though it was Dan's birthday, and everyone needs a cake for their birthday, I probably could have went out to buy one instead of making this super colorful straight up cavity inducing cake lol

Homemade cream icing, insides red and yellow, funfetti french vanilla with dinosaur sprinkles...this cake was pretty delicious.

The little bit of random...

"Two pots of coffee I'm on my way. I'm over worked and I'm under paid."

5 signs I may just be a little over worked...and too tired for life in general

1. I've been averaging four hours of sleep a night.
2. I have been living off of Redbull and Clif bars for energy...today I even grabbed a coffee. (Ew)
3. My nails are bare and aren't their normal tricolor selves. The worst!
4. I have that "holiday zombie" walk/look two months later than I should.
5. I'm posting a blog from school minutes before class starts...and I have no pictures to share :(

Day 47!

Another post related to Valentine's Day post? Goodness...

Instead of getting chocolate for my mother, only to hear her complain that I'm messing up her diet (a diet she doesn't need to be on), I bought her tulips, in hopes they last until the ground defrosts and she can plant them outside. They're so vibrant.

I got flowers too! Lilies are my favorite. So beautiful.

"Waste an hour or so. My shower is slow. The flowers that grow outside of my window are blooming. I'm assuming that you're comin' over soon."

Day 46!

Valentine's Day!

For Valentine's day I went to Medieval Times! I loooove this place.

Front row baby! This was my fourth time going to Medieval Times, and for the first time we were rooting for the Red Knight. Out of all of them, he was definitely one of the coolest knights. Plus he tossed me a pink carnation, which was pretty awesome. Sadly I didn't get a photo of him and his coolness.

I did however, get a bad photo of Lord Chancellor. It took him probably about twenty minutes to do all the Birthday and Valentine's Day shout outs. I'm almost certain my name was the only name there not said : (
One of my four Valentines. We look too fancy with our red crowns, I know. I'm pretty sure all of us on the Red Knight's side were the coolest.

I have to say, even though I love screaming and cheering for my knight to win...I really go for the soup. There is just something about the soup at Medieval Times that I can't get enough of. I could probably bet that it comes from this giant can with a generic label, but it's really good! lol. If it wasn't for the fact that I'm sure no one else was going to give up their soup for me, I would have had more than two helpings.

"Cable cars run through my mind. I think up north on Valentine. Maybe we drink to old friends."

The little bit of random...

For Valentine's Day I decided I would make a list of things that I love. Well, just things that I loved today.
I love...
1. MSG having the dog show today, there are beautiful dogs all over the surrounding areas.
2. The ICP store. I know it stands for International Center of Photography but when I see ICP I think of Insane Clown Posse. And it makes me laugh thinking of ICP having a store.
3. Everyone at school today being too cool to wear pink or red for Valentine's Day.
4. Two random people in Penn giving out Valentines to the homeless.
5. The Philly campaign all over Penn. It's one of my favorite campaigns.
6. Chase is another. "Chase What Matters." I love that.
7. Having four, yes four, Valentines today!
8. Leaving Bieber Valentines for my family, more so, the poster I enclosed in my mother's laptop for her to find.
9. Still having my purse and jacket smelling like Arirang today, after my not-so-romantic romantic date with Rachael last night.
10. Lastly, this guy!

I'm almost certain that is the same case from Inception. And If so, I'm pretty sure his date is going to be quite pleased... flowers and dream sharing? Sounds like the ultimate Valentine's Day.

"I'm on my feet, I'm on the floor, I'm good to go. Now all I need is just to hear a song I know.
I wanna always feel like part of this was mine. I wanna fall in love tonight."

Day 45!

"So pardon me while I burst into flames"
I can't get over how beautiful the sky was this morning. It looks as if it's on fire.

"Never be the same."
Never thought I would be,
at twenty-three, on the verge of
spontaneous combustion. -Woe-is-me.-

Day 44!

"I just need a little bit more time."

You, Me, and Everyone We Know!
Got to see these guys for like the 8th time yesterday. They're so good, and Ben has the prettiest guy's hair lol. I'm really hoping I'll get to see them again next month in the city...in a venue where the sound doesn't suck.

*Small add on... so I keep writing lyrics with my posts. I think I'm going to make this a trend for the week. Idk, we'll see.

Day 43!

Woah, a happy meal in a cardboard box? Okay so that does happen. But a classic smiley face cardboard box?

My sister went to McDonald's the other day, got a happy meal, and saved the box specifically to show me how exciting it was. Never do you get the classic smiley face box! It was like being 5 again, if only there was a Barbie figurine in there. You know, the ones that don't have moveable limbs and the hair is hard plastic. Those were the best, and the worst. What I really love about all of this is that my sister is 25...and is still getting happy meals lol

Day 42!

Hey Jack Frost,
Good job on making my backyard your
icy masterpiece, it's looking amazing.

So, as the sun melts all the snow and ice during the day, in the evening the frigid air is doing a nice job icing everything up. Water dripping down the side of my house froze into this beautiful icicle. I wish I could have gotten a better photo, because this one does no justice to how crazy huge this icicle truly is. I'm approximating it to be about 3 feet long.

The little bit of random...

If you haven't seen it already, you probably need to put it on your Netflix queue super soon. The Sasquatch Gang is another one of my favorite movies. One of my favorites to quote too. There's a scene that I always think of when Scout follows me into the kitchen when I'm about to eat. So this is my version of my favorite scene. Me as Shirts and Scout as Spunky.

"No Spunky Scoutie, this is my corn dog, french fry."

Day 41!

Ice ice baby!
Yeah with these photos you can't expect me not to say that lol

I'm wondering if Mother Nature is upset about something, after being hit with so many snow storms, yesterday we were hit with an ice storm.

My entire yard, at the moment, is covered in about a quarter inch of ice. Sounds dangerous I know, but it creates the prettiest scenery, no?
Not as if we needed it, but it probably would have been smart to bring in the shovel last night, it's a bit frozen to ground.
"Quick to the point, to the point, no faking.  I'm cooking MC's like a pound of bacon."
Oh Vanilla Ice, you make me laugh.

Day 40!

I can't help but wonder...
If this package happened to get lost in the mail due to an undeliverable address, (my address being wrong) where would it have been sent to?

I don't understand, why someone would put the return address as half.com lol.
Well either way, my book came in! Yay!
